You can cope, but at what cost?
Psychotherapy for leaders, professionals and those carrying sustained responsibility – focused on high-functioning pressure, burnout and major life transitions.
Hello, welcome
I'm Anna Eraut, a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist with almost two decades of clinical experience and an MSc from the renowned Metanoia Institute, London.
I work online with clients across the UK and internationally, and in person from my consulting rooms in Lewes and Friston.
Psychotherapy for high-functioning professionals
You are competent. You deliver. From the outside, things look fine, possibly enviable. Privately, something is wearing thin: sleep, patience, motivation, the sense that any of this still means what it used to.
People in demanding roles often arrive at therapy later than they should and usually after trying everything else first. Coaching, a holiday, a new routine, a course, an app. These can help. Sometimes, though, they aren't enough because the thing that needs attention sits deeper than performance.
My work is with people who are functioning, often well, but know deep down that something has to change.

Why work with me
I offer online psychotherapy sessions and also in-person sessions in Lewes and Friston, as well as focused, short-term packages.
I am an experienced UKCP-accredited psychotherapist with an MSc in Psychotherapy, two further MA honours degrees in the humanities, advanced clinical training, post-Masters university teaching experience and substantial experience in organisational consulting.
Since 2022, my work has been tested in a prolonged crisis: supporting leadership and employees working for a major international law firm in Ukraine during the ongoing war. I help ensure people stay effective under sustained pressure, make decisions in situations of prolonged uncertainty, and carry multiple responsibilities without collapsing privately.
I meet clients not only as a clinician but as someone who understands performance, organisational systems and the hidden cost of staying functional in demanding conditions.
